PROJECT BRIEF

The Albert Street Environmental Improvement Scheme was commissioned by the Department of Communities and Belfast City Council to transform a neglected strip of land along the Westlink Backpath into a vibrant outdoor recreational area. The goal was to enhance community health and wellness by creating a secure and welcoming space for local sports clubs and residents to engage in physical activities, socialise and enjoy leisure time. Through careful planning and execution, the initiative has turned an underutilised area into a valuable community asset that promotes well-being and social cohesion.

FEEDBACK

What our client said

“This project was quite complicated because of the involvement of various landowners and the need for several licenses and approvals, as well as drawn out negotiations. Throughout the work, I found CivCo’s performance very good.”
