PROJECT BRIEF
CivCo was appointed to deliver capping and remediation works at Tullyvar Landfill Site, Aughnacloy, Co. Tyrone. The project involved the installation of a fully engineered capping system to control leachate and gas emissions, safeguard the surrounding environment and bring the former landfill into long-term compliance with environmental regulations. Works also included surface water management, drainage improvements and final landscaping to restore the site to a stable, compliant and sustainable condition.
PROJECT KEY POINTS
The completion of the capping works at Tullyvar marked a significant step in reducing the long-term environmental risks associated with the former landfill. By installing a secure and fully engineered capping system, CivCo ensured that this site now benefits from enhanced control of landfill gas and leachate, protecting both local ecosystems and nearby communities.
