PROJECT BRIEF
CivCo Ltd is delivering essential Pitch Fibre rehabilitation works as part of NI Water’s Water Rehabilitation Integrated Partnership Framework. This initiative aims to upgrade and modernise drainage infrastructure across targeted locations in Northern Ireland, particularly in areas prone to flooding or with aged, damaged, or deformed pipework.
By utilising innovative trenchless technology, alongside traditional excavation methods where necessary, the project ensures improved efficiency and long-term resilience in drainage systems.
PROJECT KEY POINTS
The project is divided into two primary phases:
Phase 1 – Investigation Works:
- CCTV Surveys of existing drainage infrastructure
- Cleaning and assessment of pipework conditions
- Identification of required rehabilitation works
Phase 2 – Rehabilitation Works:
- Implementation of trenchless Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining for structural rehabilitation
- Traditional excavation and replacement where trenchless methods are not feasible
- Installation of new and replacement manholes
- Design duties to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Traffic management solutions to minimise disruption
- Site reinstatement and final testing of rehabilitated pipes
